Call for Papers

We are inviting proposals for paper presentations and posters on one of the following themes:

1. Overview of Abies tree species: ecology, distribution, fir forest communities
2. Stand dynamics of fir species in pure and mixed-species stands - from old-growth to managed forests (regeneration,
    recruitment, growth, mortality, replacement, dendrochronology)
3. Spatio-temporal changes of fir forest communities: spatial distribution, modelling,
    changes in demographic structure of fir population, climate change
4. Fir forest management: silviculture, products and ecosystem services from fir and fir forests
5. Vulnerability, conservation status, gene pool and provenances of fir species:
    environmental changes, improving adaptability of fir specie, conservation management

Abstracts of papers and posters will be published in a book of abstracts, and selected papers will be published in a Special issue of Forestry (Oxford) and Journal of Forest Research.
