1. Introduction
To determine the characteristics of altitudinal
dependence in rainfall in the mountainous area of the upper Chao Phraya river
basin in northern Thailand, 15 automatic rain gauges were installed throughout the 3,853 km2 of the Mae Chaem watershed by the GAME-T project. These rain gauges are 20cm in orifice diameter, 0.5mm tipping bucket type (No.34-T Ohta Keiki Co.) and tipping time recorder (KADEC-PLS, KONA-system CO.)
2. Locations and Photos
Fig.1 shows location of 15 rain gauges. The
numbers shown in the Fig.1 correspond to those in the Table 1. Photos are
available from the Table 1.

3. Data
Monthly and daily rainfall data are available from 1997 to 2003. Hourly
rainfall data are abailable only during the IOP period of the GAME-T project.
Date and time using in this dataset are the Local Standard Time (LST).
